Même décor : la fameuse baie de Quiberon (mondial Tornado 1981 et 2015) mais cette fois à la recherche des petits airs de direction Nord et Nord Ouest. Et pour jouer au moins deux manches dans la journée. Le Comité de course présidée par Hélène La Salmonie n’hésite pas à lancer un premier départ à 9h30 !
Dix noeuds au départ qui tomberont à pas grand chose en fin de course avec deux changements de marque au vent et des transitions avec des variations de direction de 20 degré . Et là, les deux équipages Tchèques Zdenek Pavlis – Klara Pavliseva et Michaela Pavliseva – Marek Pavlis terminent en tête d’une régate éprouvante pour les nerfs. Vive les entraînements sur les plans d’eau intérieur de Tchéquie ! Les Français Yohan Trecul et Damien Ferrand terminent troisièmes.
Une deuxième régate lancée en après-midi après une longue pose à terre se joue dans des conditions un peu moins compliquées mais toujours avec des vents légers et encore des transitions importantes.
Encore un équipage Tchèque en tête avec Michaela Pavliseva – Marek Pavlis suivi des Australiens Allan Gamble et de sa grande équipière Imke Jansen et des Français Yohan Trecul et Damien Ferrand qui se hissent en tête du classement général après quatre régates… (Article François Salle)

Same setting: the famous Bay of Quiberon (World Tornado Championship 1981 and 2015), but this time in search of light airs from the north and north-west. And to compete in at least two races during the day. The Race Committee, chaired by Hélène La Salmonie, has no hesitation in launching the first start at 9.30am!
Ten knots at the start, which would drop to nothing by the end of the race with two windward mark changes and transitions with 20 degree variations in direction. And so it was that the two Czech crews, Zdenek Pavlis – Klara Pavliseva and Michaela Pavliseva – Marek Pavlis, came out on top in what was a nerve-wracking regatta. Long live training on the inland waters of the Czech Republic! France’s Yohan Trecul and Damien Ferrand finished third.
The second race, which got underway in the afternoon after a long break ashore, was sailed in slightly less complicated conditions, but still with light winds and major transitions.
Another Czech crew in the lead with Michaela Pavliseva – Marek Pavlis, followed by the Australians Allan Gamble and his great crewmate Imke Jansen and the Frenchmen Yohan Trecul and Damien Ferrand, who are at the top of the overall ranking after four races… (Article François Salle)
